Inaugural Session: NAIT Applied Research

For our first session, we are pleased to feature NAIT Applied Research. As a cornerstone of the Prairie innovation ecosystem, NAIT's Centre for Culinary Innovation (CCI) provides the technical expertise needed to support partners from concept ideation through ingredient characterization and full product development.

Featured Speaker

Matthew Labine, Business Development Manager for Applied Research at NAIT and a Working Group member of the CAPE project, will lead an exclusive virtual tour of NAIT's facilities and demonstrate how their assets can support your next innovation milestone.

Areas of Collaboration

NAIT is actively seeking partnerships with the cellular agriculture community across the following areas:

  • Novel Applications: Development of food products utilizing biotechnology-derived ingredients

  • Culinary Research: Bench-top development and ingredient evaluation leveraging their specialized Research Kitchen

  • Consumer Insights: Sensory panel assessments for cell-cultured products and biotech-focused consumer engagement

Whether your work involves modifying ingredients through enzyme transformations or reverse-engineering a product to meet sustainability objectives, NAIT's expertise represents a significant asset for advancing and scaling innovation in the agri-food sector.
