Learn to prepare rice, slice vegetables and fish, roll sushi neatly, and create nigiri, maki, pressed sushi, sashimi, and more.
Sushi 101 is a hands-on class for anyone curious about the craft behind one of the world’s most celebrated foods.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking for a fun date night, or simply wanting to try something different, you’ll learn how to use fresh ingredients to make your own sushi from scratch.
Led by L’OCA’s sushi chef Valeriia, we’ll begin by teaching you how to slice fish and vegetables with care, season and prepare rice for rolling, and master rolling techniques that make your creations look as good as they taste.
Once you’re confident with the basics, you’ll make your own nigiri, pressed sushi, maki rolls, and sashimi, experimenting with flavours, textures, and presentation under guidance at every step.
By the end of Sushi 101, you’ll be able to recreate your own combinations at home.
