Join us for a screening of this award-winning film and learn about the legacy of Black pioneers settling in Alberta.
Are you a senior seeking unique art experiences, passionate about film and meeting fellow lifelong learners? Join us for a screening of the Shiloh Centre for Multicultural Roots’ award-winning production, We Are the Roots (2018). The descendants of the first wave of Black pioneers and immigrants, who arrived in the early 20th century, discuss the legacy of their ancestors’ bold move, coming to a new, unfamiliar land and embracing a homesteader’s life.
