We invite you to join in a discussion about the benefits of exercise for Autistics , in addition to exploring obstacles and considerations
In this presentation, Nate Montey (any pronouns) invites you to join them in a discussion about the benefits of exercise for Autistic individuals and how socioeconomic intersections; such as 2SLGBTQIA+, hypermobility, and ADHD; may create obstacles and considerations when beginning exercise.
Nate will explore ways that special interests and playfulness can be integrated to create a more meaningful environment for the Autistic mind through sensory movement exploration and mindfulness in a fitness environment. In addition, they will provide an introduction to common causes for overstimulation and some strategies to help manage them in the context of fitness.
