At this Good Talk, we're exploring what it means to learn out loud: to try new things, change your mind, and admit you don't have it all together. Because honestly? None of us do. And the more we can name that, the more space we make for authenticity, compassion, and connection.

We're expected to be confident, decisive, and sure of ourselves. But what if we're still figuring it out? What if we're learning as we go – and that's actually a strength?

At this Good Talk, we're exploring what it means to learn out loud: to try new things, change your mind, and admit you don't have it all together. Because honestly? None of us do. And the more we can name that, the more space we make for authenticity, compassion, and connection.

Join us as we explore questions like:

✨ What does it mean to grow, and mess up, when others are watching?
✨ How do we move through the discomfort of not knowing?
✨ Why is it so hard to ask for help – and what makes it easier?
✨ What would change if we were gentler with ourselves and others while we're still learning?

Whether you're in a season of transition or just tired of pretending you've got it all figured out, this Good Talk is for you. Come ready for great conversation, new perspectives, and, as always, a space to connect. We can't wait to see you there.

What's included:

  • Some top lessons and strategies on the topic
  • Snacks, sweets and non-alcoholic bevvies
  • Facilitated discussion and networking opportunities with other community leaders, movers and shakers
  • A set of conversation cards to support you when reflecting on this topic (on your own or in conversation)

What to expect:

This immersive, highly-participatory, in-person event will equip you with tangible tools and connect you with others thinking about how they show up in the world!

Doors open at 6:30 for socializing and snacks. Program will start at 7:00.

New location!

We're thrilled to be hosting this Good Talk session at the beautiful YWCA Cushing House at 10402 124 Street. It's a welcoming, accessible venue that reflects the spirit of connection, care, and community that Good Talk is all about. We're grateful to the YWCA for sharing this space with us – and can't wait to gather there with you.

Please note that, while your registration fee is non-refundable, it can be transferred to a future session or gifted to someone else.

Please note that we film and take photos during these events so that we can build our Good Talk community and share the magic that happens here. This means that, when you attend this event, you will enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event space, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction.

About us

We host these Good Talks because we believe that more conversations – about the things that connect us as well as divide us – can truly change the world. Through these conversations, we tap into the collective wisdom of those in the room, allowing us to not only share our stories but to listen deeply to others. It's in these moments of connection that we find empathy, understanding, and the courage to tackle the challenges we face, both individually and as a community. This process helps us lead more authentically in our homes, workplaces, and communities, fostering growth and collaboration in all areas of life.

We believe conversation is the key to building communities where everyone can thrive, feel a sense of belonging and be resilient during challenging times. Visit us at www.goodtalkcollective.ca
