In 2022, the Edmonton Arts Council (EAC) began an annual survey research project, gathering insights from Edmonton artists, organizations, and the public to gain a better understanding of the Edmonton arts ecology. Since then, there have been three iterations of the project. As this work was developed to enhance the EAC's understanding of the needs of Edmonton's arts community, the EAC would like to invite artist and arts organizations to attend a presentation with the EAC's Research, Measurement Analytics and Reporting team to share key insights from what we heard.

This presentation will focus on:
• What we have heard from organizations via the surveys.
• Insights about artists as it relates to their work with organizations.
• What the public has said about engaging with the arts.

The insights gained from this research will help arts leaders better understand the overall Edmonton arts ecology, the needs of artists they work with, and trends in public sentiments towards arts engagement. Presented in the new funding strategy context, the research is designed to provide specific, relevant, and reliable facts to support the EAC and, in turn, the organization's work.
