Jess Sanderson-Barry from Chakastaypasin Band will share different ways of knowing how to traditionally tan a moose hide.

Traditional hide tanning is a form of reclamation, sovereignty and it is cultural resurgence. Our relative the môswa is a very healing animal, we will understand the importance of community, transmission of knowledge and share oral stories of how the môswa is healing our own communities. Participants will work collectively and gain an understanding of how to scrape a moose hide & learn about the many different hide tools used.
