An opportunity to hear from government officials and share input to shape Alberta's data centre strategy (registration is due by 12pm on Aug. 25).

As global demand for AI computing continues to grow, Alberta's competitive tax environment, abundant natural gas and skilled workforce position the province as a premier destination in North America for private data center investment. By establishing clear rules, environmental requirements and grid-protection policies ahead of development, Alberta is ensuring that major private investments in AI data centers deliver substantial benefits for Albertans and protect the things that matter: power bills, water, land, the environment and communities.

Alberta's approach to AI data centers remains on four commitments: Albertans will not pay for these projects, the grid comes first, water use is tightly controlled and Albertans share in the financial upside through municipal tax revenues, royalties and a data center computing equipment levy.
