To increase awareness of death so people make the most of their finite lives. It's a relaxed, open discussion over coffee and treats where strangers talk freely about death, dying, mortality, life, and whatever comes up—no agenda, no experts, no grief counseling.

Who should join
Anyone comfortable (or willing to try) having honest, non-judgmental conversations about death. Ideal for those curious about mortality, reflecting on life, facing loss, or wanting deeper, taboo-breaking talks that help them live more fully.
Who should not join
People seeking bereavement support, grief therapy, expert advice, information sessions, research, or who currently find death discussions too uncomfortable.
Why join?
To break the cultural taboo around death and have rare, authentic conversations that rarely happen in everyday life.

To dissolve feelings of isolation by sharing and hearing others' thoughts on mortality—often leading to deeper appreciation of life, better priorities, or simply feeling less alone.

To build trust and connection in a safe, structured-yet-flexible space (with the host's 90% organization + 10% "beautiful chaos" approach).

It's free, limited to small groups (max 10 people) for everyone to have space to contribute, held regularly in welcoming Edmonton venues, and focuses on human nourishment over digital or superficial interactions.

If you're drawn to living more fully by facing death head-on rather than avoiding it, this group offers exactly that opportunity in a kind, consistent, and community-oriented way.

As the host Jay puts it: these talks matter, and they're grateful to hold the space for them.
