It’s time to SLAM! Join us for the first ever Amplify poetry slam, SLAMplify and get ready to be wowed with wise, wild and wacky words from your favourite up and coming poets from Grade 7 to age 21.

Warm up your snapping fingers for this interactive event that showcases the power of words. With special guest judges and featuring a headlining performance by Titilope Sonuga. The event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required. For those interested in attending, this event is intended for ages 12 and up and will tackle some sensitive topics.

Amplify provides year-round opportunities for young leaders and artists to dream, try and succeed by amplifying the creativity in our community. The program provides arts development opportunities, organized by youth, for youth in Grade 7 to age 21. The organization’s events, activities and projects are directed by the Amplify Advisory Committee--a group of peers that ensure each program is fresh, fun and connects with the young residents of St. Albert.
