Join us for a virtual workshop on immersive technology in healthcare designed for healthcare professionals, educators, immersive tech developers, and industry leaders in Edmonton.

Immersive technologies like virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) are transforming healthcare by improving training, patient care, and collaboration. But how ready is Edmonton's healthcare ecosystem to adopt these tools? What skills and workforce changes are needed for a successful implementation?

Join us for one of two virtual workshops on immersive technology in healthcare designed for healthcare professionals, educators, immersive tech developers, and industry leaders in Edmonton.

Together, we'll explore:

  • Opportunities and use cases for immersive tech in healthcare
  • Challenges and barriers to adoption (funding, training, effectiveness, etc.)
  • Labour market and skills needs in healthcare organizations and immersive tech companies

The workshops will include informative presentations, case studies, and interactive breakout discussions tailored to your sector—whether you're working in healthcare delivery or immersive technology.

Who Should Attend?

  • Healthcare professionals: Nurses, physicians, allied health workers, educators, healthcare managers
  • Immersive tech professionals: Developers, designers, XR specialists, business leads
  • Employers: Healthcare institutions (public or private), clinics, startups, XR firms, researchers and policy makers interested in healthcare, innovators shaping healthcare delivery in Edmonton

No prior experience with immersive tech is required—your insights on real-world challenges and opportunities are what we need!
