Audreys Classics Book Club is a free monthly gathering for a guided discussion about a classic literary title. Unlike our regular Book Club, the Classics Club takes a more in-depth look at a single title over several months.

Middlemarch
Fashion, gossip, election reform, jewelry, vocations, romance, horseback riding, intrigue. Middlemarch has it all. George Eliot's classic novel has a complex web of interweaving plot lines; some of the best descriptions of people, places and society that you'll find anywhere, and 800 to 900-odd pages depending on your edition. It's also funny (so funny), warm and widely lauded as the best novel to read to recover faith in humanity.

The book was originally published in 8 installments during 1871 - 1872. Our book club will follow the original installments, covering one per month for 8 months, January to August 2025. Classics Book Club will be on the second Monday evening of each month.
