Japanese Tea Ceremony
Sunday, June 30, 2024
10:30am to 3:00pm
30
We will be performing a Japanese tea ceremony in two styles at different times.
Furo Style (host and guests sit on tatami mats on the floor) is hosted in the Ozawa Pavillion.
Ryurei style (host and guests to sit on chairs or stools) is hosted in the Ikoi No Ba annex
We will be serving each guest a traditional Japanese sweet, accompanied by a bowl of freshly made matcha during the ceremony. Our sweets are made with sticky rice flour (mochi) and a bean filling.
This event is suitable for adults and children who are able to sit quietly for up to 30 minutes.
The Ikoi No Ba is wheelchair accessible. Guests with mobility concerns may choose an afternoon Ryurei performance.
