On January 16, 2024, the Honorable Rachel Notley announced that she will be resigning as Leader of the Alberta NDP. A leadership race began shortly afterwards on February 5th, 2024 and will conclude on June 22, 2024.

As a non-partisan entity, the Edmonton Chamber does not endorse political candidates or parties, but we provide opportunities for our members to engage with key politicians and decision-makers. We did email all candidates to join us and provided and equal opportunity for participation. The confirmed candidates are:

  • Naheed Nenshi
  • MLA Sarah Hoffman
  • Gil McGowan
  • MLA Kathleen Ganley
  • MLA Jodi Calahoo-Stonehouse

  • Edmonton Chamber of Commerce
