2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion. Join us as Kirstan Schamuhn, Assistant Curator of Military and Government History, showcases objects from our collection that share stories of Veterans’ advocacy and support organizations.

You can also catch a brief screening of the archival short film Welcome Soldier at 1:00 pm or 1:30 pm. Produced near the end of WWII, it offers a fascinating snapshot of how Canada planned to support returning soldiers with healthcare, education, and civilian job transitions.

We are open 10 am – 4 pm on November 11. The Royal Alberta Museum is always free for CFOne Card holders.
