Safety as a Growth Strategy: is product safety monitoring more than a compliance cost?
Can safety monitoring be more than a regulatory requirement for regulated health products? We take a look at what the evidence says about how safety shapes consumer trust, brand resilience, and growth, and why the answer is not what the industry usually tells itself. Drawing on how companies actually perceive the value of safety monitoring, and on the experiences of some well-known brands, the talk examines what this means for regulated products in a market where scrutiny is rising and trust is hard-won.
Julius Fru Che
Julius Fru Che is a Founding Partner of VigiQuest and a pharmacovigilance scientist specializing in risk management and benefit–risk assessment. He holds an MSc in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology from the Université de Bordeaux and has worked within Health Canada, FDA, and EMA frameworks, helping life science companies weigh the benefits of their products against their risks and build safety systems that keep consumers protected without holding innovation back. That experience sits at the heart of this talk: he has seen first-hand how companies decide what a safety signal means, when to act on it, and what happens when they get that call right or wrong.
