How might we understand alignment and posture as something that is always moving and fluid? How are we balancing our moving and breathing selves through space? This class integrates postures, pedestrian movement and your best dance moves into a physical conversation with others. We will also learn Swimming Dragon Qigong a dynamic, and serpentine movement practice designed to open the spine, release stagnant energy, and build leg strength. Everyone is welcome.

Lin Snelling is a dancer whose artistic practice brings the qualities of improvisation into dance, theatre, writing, visual art, somatic and site-specific practice. She toured the world with Carbone 14 and danced with many improvisation ensembles. She teaches dance, experiential anatomy and composition at the University of Alberta and is coordinator of the Theatre Practice MFA program.
