A mix of floor work and experimental work, which are based on physical exercise, and how to organize our body to move through space. The class will make our bodies and brains work hard. We will discover our strength, weakness, and freedom. Our tasks for a few days will be short exercises to explore what we can do to interconnect with our limits and how to push through them. I will take you on a journey from short tasks, through improvisation, to choreography. As well we will work on your coordination through different tasks. During the class I will use tools which will help us to work and check how our bodies are working in inconvenient situations. The class will be based on floor work which I learned and explored in Europe to develop my own methods and want to share it with you.

Marynia Fekecz-Mangan – dancer/organizator https://www.mfmdanceartist.com Marynia Fekecz-Mangan is a Polish-born and educated (Poznań School of Social Sciences in Poznań, Poland) dancer, performer, choreographer, teacher, and producer based in Edmonton. She has collaborated with several dance ensembles and festivals including Kokyu Studio of the Grotowski’s Institute, Calgary’s W&M Physical Theatre, Alberta Dance Festival, Edmonton’s Good Women Dance Collective, Mile Zero Dance and Harcourt House Artist Run Centre (project “Transportation” for the Harcourt House’s Alberta Culture Days 2022 with Kate Stashko, Tatiana Warszynski, and Shawn Pinchbeck), as well as individual artists and choreographers: Justine A.
