100 Decibels is a high-energy physical comedy troupe made up of Deaf artists from the Philippines, Canada, and Poland. Through mime, visual storytelling, and physical theatre, the troupe creates engaging performances that transcend spoken language and connect with audiences of all ages.
The performers were trained in physical comedy, mime, and storytelling by Shannon Guile of the award-winning theatre company Hot Thespian Action. Their work combines humor, creativity, and visual expression while celebrating the richness of Deaf culture and building bridges between Deaf and hearing communities.
100 Decibels has performed at multiple editions of the Sound Off Festival in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada’s national Deaf theatre festival. In 2024, the troupe also participated in an international summer theatre workshop in Paris, France, and looks forward to continuing its artistic growth through future training and collaborations.
Known for their crisp physical illusions and expressive performances, 100 Decibels leaves audiences laughing, reflecting, and seeing the world from a fresh perspective.
