Madeline Vandersluys is an up-and-coming trombonist and composer, exploring avenues of emotional expression through music.

Line-up:
Madeline Vandersluys – trombone
Alex Sagert – guitar
Donovan Lane – bass
Tony Flanagan – drums

Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Madeline wears their heart on their horn, writing songs to make sense of the experiences that make us human. Inspired by artists ranging from Bennie Green to Bon Iver, Madeline gives voice to stories of connection by collaborating with longtime friends onstage. Madeline’s compositions and arrangements paint a picture of the landscape of life: joy, grief, friendship, and rage, drawing from a palette of contemporary jazz, folk rock, and whatever CDs were in their childhood living room.
