The Kyiv Konnection Banquet is an annual community gathering that brings together supporters of education, global engagement and Ukraine. Hosted by the Ukrainian Foundation for College Education, the banquet supports the work of MacEwan University’s Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre (URDC), which builds academic partnerships and community connections between Canada and Ukraine.
This year’s banquet features keynote speaker Michael Bociurkiw, a New York Times–published writer and global affairs analyst based in Ukraine. Drawing on firsthand experience, his address explores how Russia’s war on Ukraine is reshaping global security, democracy and Europe’s future.
We are also excited to feature Shockolad, a renowned Ukrainian ethno-jazz band, whose performance will add a vibrant cultural element to the evening.
The evening brings people together around food and ideas, featuring a program that examines the broader implications of the war in Ukraine.
