Join us for the first session in our District Energy series, where we'll explore how this innovative utility solution is helping to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency in Edmonton's Downtown.

This session is designed for building owners, managers and developers who want to understand how district energy can help achieve sustainability and financial goals.

What You'll Learn:

  • Gain a clear understanding of district energy, the City of Edmonton's District Energy Strategy, and the Downtown District Energy Initiative, which started operations in September 2025.
  • Explore real-world district energy implementation in the Canadian context through insights from the Building Decarbonization Alliance
  • Discover how connecting to the Downtown District Energy Initiative can help you achieve building-level sustainability and efficiency targets.
  • Learn about the operational and technical strengths provided by EPCOR, the trusted and experienced design, build, finance, operate, maintain partner for District Energy Downtown.
  • Hear from Qualico Properties about Station Lands and the potential integration of district energy into its new master planned downtown development.
  • Understand where district energy service is planned and if your building(s) falls in or near the proposed service area, and other options to connect.
  • Prepare your operations teams for our next sessions, which map out the specific pathway to connect to the district energy network.
