Some battles can change the course of history. For Denis Mukwege, a Congolese doctor and future Nobel Peace Prize laureate, his battle includes risking his life to treat thousands of women who are survivors of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

From producer Angelina Jolie, based on the incredible life and career of Dr. Mukwege, MUGANGA follows this real-life hero and the Belgian surgeon whose support deepened his commitment. Featuring a stunning performance by Isaach De Bankolé in the lead role of Denis Mukwege, MUGANGA is one of the most powerful films of the year.
