The "Objectionable Publications" Book Club kicks off with a title that frequents banned book lists - Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe.

As part of this book club, we're offering Gender Queer at a discount for those who have yet to nab a copy of their own.

Join us at Waffle Bird for food and conversation as we discuss Gender Queer and the current push for the banning of graphic novels in school libraries here in Alberta.

Tickets for the event are $20, and will get you a $20 food voucher for Waffle Bird, as well as a facsimilie copy of "What's Wrong with Comic Books?" - a publication that was produced by "The Advisory Board on Objectionable Publications to the Government of the Province of Alberta".

This event is limited to 20 people!
