Once again, EIFF’s annual presentation of the Oscar®-Nominated shorts is here! Showcasing some of the best short films from around the world, the 2026 Oscar®-Nominated Shorts presents feature-length programs dedicated to each Academy Award® Short Film category: Animated, Documentary and Live Action. Get an edge on your Oscar® predictions, or just appreciate the nominated work of these emerging or experienced filmmakers. The Academy Awards take place on Sunday, March 15.

EIFF’s presentation of the 2026 Oscar®-Nominated Shorts will help raise funds to bring Edmontonians the very best in local and international cinema during the 40th(!)
