Join us for an online conversation exploring the Rainforest Alberta initiative and the insights gathered through the 2025 Edmonton Rainforest Survey.

The Rainforest Alberta initiative was launched to better understand how innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, service providers, and community builders experience Alberta’s innovation ecosystem. Grounded in the global “Rainforest” framework, the initiative focused on listening to the community, identifying strengths and gaps, and building a shared understanding of what helps innovation ecosystems thrive.

In this session, we’ll cover:

  • What the Rainforest Alberta initiative was and why it mattered

  • What the Rainforest Survey is designed to capture and who it aimed to reach

  • Key themes and findings from this year’s survey results

  • What we heard from the community—and what it means for Edmonton's innovation ecosystem

We’ll also look ahead to what comes next: how these insights can inform action, collaboration, and ecosystem-level change, and how community members can stay involved as this work evolves.

This event is open to anyone interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, ecosystem development, and building a stronger, more connected innovation community in the greater Edmonton region.
