BetaKit is expanding its coverage of the Prairie tech community in 2026, with a full-time journalist based right here in Edmonton.
This is a huge win for our region, and one that came together in true Edmonton fashion: through the collective power of our community coming together to make it happen.
Join us as we officially welcome BetaKit to Edmonton and kick off 2026 together.
We'll have light programming and brief remarks, with plenty of time before and after to reconnect, meet new faces, and celebrate what's ahead.
BetaKit's full-time journalist role in Edmonton is funded for two years through an innovative partnership with YEGAF, a not-for-profit entity supported by some of the region's leading startup organizations and economic development agencies.
