Presented by Alberta Blue Cross and hosted by the Lois Hole Hospital Women's Society, our Between Us talks focus on providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for sharing expert knowledge and discussing important women's health topics.

Did you know that the average Canadian woman will spend up to half of her life in a menopausal state, inclusive of perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause?

Join us with Dr. Colleen Norris and Dr. Briana Botsford for our upcoming session of Between Us at 7 p.m. MDT on November 27th to explore why estrogen matters at every stage of a woman’s life. Discover how the ovaries—long seen only as reproductive organs—are actually the architects of women’s overall health, shaping cardiovascular, brain, bone, and metabolic wellbeing. Learn how understanding and supporting hormonal health can transform prevention, care, and longevity for women across Alberta.

Dr. Colleen Norris and Dr. Briana Botsford are two passionate leaders advancing women’s health in Alberta.

Dr. Norris, a Professor at the University of Alberta and Cavarzan Chair in Women’s Health Research, is a cardiovascular health expert focused on how sex, gender, and hormones impact women’s health across the lifespan. She is developing two groundbreaking clinics—one for cardiovascular health and the online women's health clinic this session will be providing insight on—both designed to set new care standards.

Dr. Botsford, a Naturopathic Doctor in Edmonton, blends evidence-based natural medicine with a focus on women’s health and sports medicine. Active in the triathlon community, she brings her passion for performance and well-being to every patient, emphasizing education and empowerment.

Together, Drs. Norris and Botsford contribute to a more inclusive, holistic model of care that supports women at every stage of life.
