The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce invites you to the inaugural State of the Economy Luncheon on Thursday, November 7th at the J.W. Marriott.

We love this city, and we know you do too. But love alone doesn’t build a competitive economy. That’s why, for months, we’ve been working behind the scenes on something Edmonton has never had before: a comprehensive, data-driven economic report that measures how our city is truly performing. We commissioned experts, gathered the numbers, and benchmarked Edmonton against other Canadian cities to reveal where we’re excelling, where we’re falling behind, and what it all means for our future.

Some of the findings will inspire confidence, others may be hard to hear, but all of them demand action. On November 7, we’ll go beyond the numbers, decipher what they mean, and—most importantly—invite you to help shape the solutions.

Together, we’ll explore Edmonton’s growth trajectory, workforce realities, affordability pressures, and the shifting balance between city and suburbs. And we’ll do it with the insight and perspective of leaders who understand both the data and the city we call home:

  • Marc Parsons, Lead Economist, ATB

  • Heather Thomson, VP of Economy & Engagement, Edmonton Chamber

  • Doug Griffiths, President & CEO, Edmonton Chamber

  • Resonance Consultancy, global place-branding experts

The Edmonton Chamber State of the Economy Luncheon is a signature experience for our business community. Your first chance to see Edmonton’s first economic scorecard unveiled, and to be part of the conversation about how we build the most competitive and prosperous city in Canada.

The full State of the Economy Report will be available for download prior to the event.
