Dr. Chaneel Park - CEO, MakeSens Battery Technologies: Dr. Park blends academic excellence with entrepreneurial drive. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Calgary, he specializes in advanced manufacturing for nanocomposite materials. His company, MakeSens Inc., develops high-performance, eco-friendly silicon-based anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, using Alberta Oilsands byproducts to support the net-zero transition in EVs, drones, and portable electronics.

Dylan Richards - Chief Financial Officer, Landing Zones Canada : Dylan brings over 15 years of experience in financial strategy and operational transformation. Landing Zones Canada is a pan-Canadian defence & aerospace company headquartered in Alberta, focusing on green and clean technology solutions to improve our environment, as well as advanced defence training solutions.

Dr. Bing Cao-Co-Founder & CEO- Nanode Battery Technologies. Dr. Bing Cao is the CEO and Co-Founder of Nanode Battery Technologies, an Alberta-based cleantech company pioneering advanced anode materials for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. With a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the University of Alberta, she brings deep expertise in energy storage innovation and sustainable manufacturing. Under her leadership, Nanode has developed patented tin-based alloy anodes that significantly enhance battery performance while reducing environmental impact. Dr. Cao is a recognized leader in Canada’s clean energy sector and a 2023 ASTech Awards finalist for Women in Innovation.

Kris Duncan- Procurement Outreach Specialist, Public Services and Procurement Canada: Kris Duncan is a seasoned innovation strategist with a passion for building Alberta’s tech ecosystem. With deep experience in venture creation, startup acceleration, and ecosystem development, Kris brings a unique perspective on how energy, cleantech, and aerospace entrepreneurs can scale impact and drive meaningful change.

Chris Godwaldt- Director, Water, Pathways Alliance: Chris Godwaldt leads water stewardship initiatives at Pathways Alliance, where he oversees collaborative efforts to advance sustainable water management across Canada’s oil sands sector. With over two decades of experience in environmental strategy and industrial water systems, Chris brings deep expertise in balancing operational efficiency with ecological responsibility. His work supports the Alliance’s commitment to innovation, transparency, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
