The Evansburg and Entwistle Chamber of Commerce are hosting two forums for candidates vying for the position of councilors of Yellowhead and Parkland in the upcoming municipal elections. The forum will also include candidates running for school trustees in Yellowhead and Parkland school districts.

The Chamber will host the event in Evansburg slated for Tuesday, Sept. 30th at the Heritage House.  Then Thursday, Oct. 2nd, a second forum for Parkland candidates will be held at the Entwistle Community Hall.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. for candidates and the forums will run from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  Monika Cappis will moderate the event.  The Chamber has prepared questions that will be given to the candidates beforehand.  The candidates will begin with opening statements and then the moderator will open the floor for a question-and-answer period.  All constituents are invited to submit questions either written or presented orally.

At the close of the Q and A session, candidates will be provided opportunity to make closing remarks.  A time of refreshments and one on one time with the candidates will close off the evening.
