Get ready to hit the streets and show support for pihesiwin's most bike-friendly candidate!

Join the YEG Bike Coalition as we hit the doors to support bike-friendly candidates in the 2025 Edmonton municipal election! Together, we can make safe streets, climate action, and fiscally responsible transportation policy a top priority at City Hall. This is a great chance to: Meet other cyclists and advocates who care about safer, more livable neighbourhoods. Show visible support for candidates who stand up for active transportation. Have real conversations with voters about why safe, sustainable mobility matters. Make a meaningful difference in this election—one doorstep at a time. What to Expect RSVP Required: Please RSVP so we know who’s coming, can arrange enough bike parking, and share the exact meet-up location with you. Bring Your Bike (Optional): You’re welcome to arrive by bike, but walking canvassers are also welcome! We will do our best to ensure there is enough safe bike parking available. Supplies Provided: Campaigns will have scripts, maps, and materials ready to go. No experience is necessary—training will be provided at the start. Community Vibe: We’ll kick off together, spread out in teams, and regroup at the end for debrief and social time. Join/Leave Whenever: We understand that you may have commitments or conflicts. Feel free to join late or leave early - we'll share contact information and other specifics to everyone that registeres on Eventbrite! Event Details Candidate: Jackie Liu Ward: pihesiwin Date & Time: September 20, from 5-8pm Meet-Up Location: Likley the community league, but a confirmed meetup location will be emailed out 3 days prior to the event. Why It Matters Bike lanes aren’t the top issue for every voter—but they connect directly to what people do care about: road safety, affordability, climate responsibility, tranportation choice, equity, and smart spending. By helping elect bike-friendly councillors, we’re working toward a city that invests in the future instead of the past.
