Audreys Genre Book Club is a free monthly social reading group. Genre-specific books are selected by our booksellers to inspire reflection and discussion. Expect a range of themes, ideas and styles, and a warm atmosphere in which to enjoy relaxed conversation.

Hafsa's choice for September is 'The Buffalo Hunter Hunter' by Stephen Graham Jones. Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to welcome the spooky season than with a harrowing vampire murder mystery? But... It's so much more than that! Stephen Graham Jones blends horror with introspective and thought-provoking historical commentary. The reader is immediately drawn into a story of untold violence and secrets. The surreal atmosphere and haunting character study offer rich ground for discussion, especially around justice, memory, and the ways history continues to haunt the present.
