natIgnite 2025 is a 40-hour competition that pairs interdisciplinary teams with Problem Providers to accelerate solutions to real-world challenges.

natIgnite is a 40-hour hackathon driving real-world, hardware-integrated innovation in digital health, assistive tech, and advanced computing. Unlike traditional hackathons, Ignite goes deeper; each team is paired with an expert presenting a challenge from industry, research, or lived experience.

As a hacker at natIgnite 2025, you'll get the chance to:

  • Team up with students across disciplines
  • Build innovative projects with expert mentorship from researchers, clinicians, and engineers
  • Open to all students — no experience needed
  • Compete for prizes to launch your ideas even further!

Top prizes include:

  • 1st Place: $3,000 CAD seed funding + $3,000 CAD in-kind services
  • 2nd Place: $1,500 CAD seed funding + $1,500 CAD in-kind services
  • 3rd Place: $500 CAD seed funding + $500 CAD in-kind services
