Dallas Arcand is a four-time World Champion Hoop Dancer, Indigenous entertainer, and proud member of Alexander First Nation. Based in Edmonton, he has spent over 30 years performing across Canada and internationally, showcasing hoop dance, traditional flute, and song. Dallas has appeared at major events including the Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Olympics, Calgary Stampede, and Frankfurter Buchmesse. A graduate of Mount Royal University and the National Indigenous Professional Artist Training (NIPAT) program, he now mentors other Indigenous artists. His documentary Hoop Life (2018) shares his story and the art of hoop dancing.
Grove Gatherings is back for another season! Join us for free, family-friendly performances in Spruce Grove parks. Each Tuesday brings something new - whether it's music, dance, cultural celebration, or circus-style fun - all set against the backdrop of our city's beautiful outdoor spaces.
All performances start at 6:30 p.m. and are one hour long. Bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket, find a comfy spot, and enjoy an evening of live entertainment in your community.
