Celebrate the opening of Ortona Diaspora, an Art Sales & Rental Community Gallery exhibition. From 2:30-4, enjoy a panel discussion in the Ledcor Theatre about artist studios, featuring local artists and organizers Marlena Wyman, Chelsea Boos, Jeff Collins and moderated by Brad Goertz.

Ortona Diaspora is a group exhibition that celebrates a dispersed community facing an uncertain future. Ortona Artists’ Reach Society (OARS) is proud to feature artists of the Ortona Armoury Arts Community from past and present through an array of mediums. OARS is multidisciplinary, multicultural, multilingual, multi-generational and is inspired to assemble under favourable conditions with their cherished and supportive community partners. This Edmonton-based grassroots community is alive, expanding and growing in encouraging and unforeseen ways. Ortona Diaspora is a dynamic reflection of this unique arts community both past and present.

OARS is motivated to highlight the wonderful work of these artists because they have been dispersed since their 2019 renoviction from their home, the Ortona Armoury Arts Building.

Curated by Ortona Artists’ Reach Society (OARS)
