TOPIC: Mighty Microbes: A Bacterial Perspective on Mitigating Climate Change
SPEAKER: Maryssa Iacobelli
TALK DESCRIPTION:
Microorganisms are highly abundant and found everywhere on Earth. While they are known to cause illness, they are a predominantly positive force in many systems. In this talk, a special group of microorganisms known as Methylotrophs will be explored. The bacterial strains found in this group are not only safe to humans but also host unique properties that make them useful for industrial applications.
