This Open Streets event is a free, public, community-building event hosted by Paths for People to celebrate our organization’s 10-year anniversary!

This is our first large-scale Open Streets activation since 2019, and we are excited to reintroduce this signature event to Edmontonians with a renewed focus on active transportation, placemaking, and community connection.

As part of the broader Leagues on the Line initiative—a community-led celebration activating stops along Edmonton’s Valley Line South LRT route—our organization will be leading programming near the Quarters LRT stop in partnership with the Boyle Street Community League. The event will be held on June 7, 2025, from 11:00AM to 3:00PM and will temporarily transform three blocks of 96 Street into a pedestrian-first public space, welcoming attendees to walk, roll, and explore.

Programming will include:
  • A curated street market in partnership with Wild Heart Collective, showcasing local vendors and makers
  • Community activations and pop-up performances
  • Interactive art and family-friendly activities
  • Public engagement stations highlighting the findings from our Missing Links campaign, which identifies priority connections for Edmonton’s walking, rolling, and cycling networks.
Get your very own Leagues on the Line passport!

Collect a sticker at all seven LRT stops and check out the fun and activities happening at or near each location. Once you’ve completed your passport journey, join the after party at Strathearn Community League Hall starting at 3PM, featuring performances by Dancing Cree (Indigenous dancing and drummers) and Secondhand Dreamcar.
