Following opening remarks by Bernhard Hering, an internationally-renowned leader in islet transplantation, he and other members of an expert panel will field questions in a discussion of past, present and future islet cell replacement therapies. This will be followed by a networking opportunity in the Telus Centre foyer.

This in-person event will be held at the Telus International Centre located at the University of Alberta (11104 87 Ave NW) and is open to researchers, students, individuals living with Type 1 diabetes, islet transplant recipients, industry representatives, philanthropists, and a number of dignitaries.
