Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours.

Edmonton's heritage landscape is typically painted in the bold strokes of red brick, remnants of our pre-World War 1 past. Yet a fascinating counterpoint exists in Bonnie Doon: a collection of mid-century buildings defined by their ligher buff brick facades. What sparked this architectual departure? What does it reveal about this chapter in the city's development? Join planner and historian Erik Backstrom for this walk, which will include a tour of the architectural gem which is the Bonnie Doon Stake Centre.
