Connect with Indigenous thought leaders, storytellers, and Knowledge Holders through this engaging and dynamic six-part speaker series.

The Indigenous Heritage Circle (IHC) and Edmonton Heritage Council (EHC) cordially invite you to join us for a special gathering as part of the FIRE Indigenous Spotlight Series to honour the recipients of the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

  • Dr. Jerry Saddleback
  • Celina Loyer
  • Matthew Hiltermann

These extraordinary Indigenous leaders have made profound and lasting contributions to the preservation and revitalization of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit histories, traditions, arts, and cultural heritage.

The FIRE Indigenous Spotlight Series, funded by the Cultural Heritage Initiatives Program and Edmonton Heritage Council (EHC), aims to provide unique opportunities for urban Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples to learn from and build relationships with Indigenous thought leaders, researchers, storytellers and Knowledge Holders.

This six-part series, celebrates the significant and ongoing efforts of Indigenous peoples in preservation and resurgence of their own traditional and contemporary cultures, sciences, languages, histories, and stories within Treaty 6 Territory and what is today known as Alberta.
