Calling all global citizens: join the conversation. Watch thought-provoking and inspirational films from around the world, then explore their themes and their relevance through structured discussions with your fellow attendees. From the gig economy in Nigeria, to marine biology in Korea, to creative waste reclamation in England (and more), this series will take you on a journey.
This month's Double Feature is:
1) The Custodians
Over the last 40 years, commercial over fishing and bottom trawling have turned Scotland's once-thriving west coast waters into sparse, lifeless deserts. Patagonia Films' The Custodians follows the work of four locals from the West Coast of Scotland who are reclaiming their natural coastlines. They're restoring wildlife, creating sustainable industries and showing us how we can work with, not against, our ocean.
