An Open Mic Night for Creative Writers

Bring your wise, wild, and wacky words to Amplify’s Poetry Open Mic Night on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Confections Cake Co.

Whether you’re there to perform or to simply enjoy the work of St. Albert’s young creatives, warm up your snapping fingers, grab some dessert and settle in for an evening of poetry performance that’s sure to vacillate from emotional to playful to honest to irreverent and back again.  

With hosts: Amplify Advisory Committee Members, Hannah Hughes and Brooklynn Shaw

And special guest performances by: Rayanne Haines

While we will accept registrations at the door, please register in advance to ensure your spot by completing our "Call for Poets" application

What: Poetry and creative writing open mic 

When: Friday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Confections Cake Co. (15 Perron St., #140) 

For: Young artists grade 7 to age 21. Supporters of all ages are welcome. 

Cost: FREE! Seating is first come, first served.
