The Belasco family’s legacy of distilling and winemaking dates back to 1831 in Navarra, Spain. In the 1990s, Juan Ignacio Belasco embarked on a decade-long search through Argentina, determined to find the perfect vineyards to craft exceptional Malbec wines.

In 2003, Juan and his son, Mikel, discovered a hidden gem—222 acres of century-old Malbec vines in Mendoza’s renowned Luján de Cuyo region. With a deep respect for tradition and an eye on innovation, they founded Belasco de Baquedano, a boutique winery with a state-of-the-art underground facility at the foothills of Aconcagua. Their wines embody the best of both worlds—new-world expression with old-world craftsmanship.
