The March 2025 edition of a monthly series of events on various topics of game development.

GameCamp Edmonton's location has changed. Starting Tuesday, January 28, you can find us in the basement of EPL's Stanley Milner branch downtown, in Community Room 1. If you have trouble finding it, look for the banner or check the Discord

GameCamp Edmonton's monthly events are open to all professional, indie, hobbyist, student, and aspiring game developers, as well as people who are working in other technology and creative fields and are interested in learning more about the game development industry in Alberta. While GameCamp's main community focus is based in Edmonton, we welcome anyone and everyone who is interested in being a part of our community, even if they're outside of Edmonton!

This month, we welcome our very own David Gillen, who will be presenting his talk on Modern Texturing Workflows.

In his talk, David will be going over what goes into putting high quality textures on modern models. How do you handle problems such as kilometer space ships and showing the stitches on leather armor? David will go over how games make workflows for what is important.

This event is being hosted at the Stanley Milner Downtown branch of the Edmonton Public Library in the in the Community Room 1 (in the basement)! There will be free hot chocolate, coffee, and treats provided for you to enjoy during the talk portion, and then after the talk, we will move from the library to Underground Tap and Grill just down the street for networking, catching up, and mingling!

As always, this event is free for anyone and everyone to attend, though please note that space is limited so RSVPs are required. If you plan on coming to both the Talk and Underground for networking, please sign up for the Talk + Networking/Dinner ticket so that we can let the restaurant know how many people to prepare for ahead of time.
