Conversation with Erin Lafuente, TEP on Trusts and Estates

Erin Lafuente, TEP is a partner in the Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation group in Dentons’ Edmonton office. Erin is called to practice in Alberta and British Columbia. Her primary practice focus is in the areas of wills, estates, incapacity and disability.

Erin has extensive experience handling estate litigation, including contested wills, undue influence, capacity and dependency (Family Maintenance and Support Claims). She has handled many disputes involving joint assets and estate accounting. Erin is also an experienced litigator in complex guardianship and trusteeship matters. On occasion, she has been appointed by the Court to act as the voice of the represented adult in situations involving serious disputes relating to guardianship and trusteeship. Erin provides practical advice considering the risks and benefits to her clients at all stages of the litigation.
