The library is delighted to welcome Anna Marie Sewell as our 2025 Writer in Residence! She'll be with us from January through May, sharing her expertise through programs and one-on-one consultations.

Anna Marie has chosen the twin themes of Peace and Play for her residency. She says "I’m honoured to present talks with artists whose work for peace I greatly admire, in hopes of inspiring our own community to write for peace. And play? Play is the best way I know to free up artistry."

Find out more at sclibrary.ca/writer-in-residence.

Come explore how listening to and writing with different styles of music can help you build sound awareness and develop stronger rhythm, imagery and lyricism (but not necessarily lyrics) in your poetry.
