Learn more about middle housing, connect with industry leaders, and become a part of the middle housing movement.

What is BEINFILL?

mddl and Infill Development in Edmonton Association (IDEA) come together to deliver an in-person event built around what it takes to deliver middle housing in Edmonton. Come to learn about developing middle/infill housing and have a chance to ask questions about topics such as: what infill housing is and why it matters; regulations and approvals affecting housing in Edmonton; strategies to support residents and developers interested in building much-needed housing; and actionable steps for making infill housing a reality. Don’t miss this chance to engage with experts, share ideas, and imagine the future of housing in our city.

This program is for you if:

  • you are a homeowner looking to explore re-development opportunities on your property
  • you are a real estate enthusiast looking to learn how to participate in land development
  • you are a municipal representative looking to understand how your role feeds into the holistic land development process
  • you are a housing provider looking to expand into the infill housing space
  • you generally have an interest in middle housing and land redevelopment opportunities

Who are we?

mddl (pronounced “middle”) is an expert in middle housing, with a collective track record of delivering hundreds of homes in established neighbourhoods. We’ve made many mistakes and learned from them, we’ve celebrated successes, and most importantly, we’ve realized that to make a meaningful impact, we can’t do it alone. It is for this reason we have renewed our focus to support at-scale delivery of middle housing across Canadian cities. mddl turns everyday people into craft developers by providing the tools, education, and ongoing support needed to develop gentle-density housing. The Infill Development in Edmonton Association (IDEA) is a non-profit organization made up of passionate Edmontonians who work together to drive change toward people-centered communities. www.infilledmonton.com
