13 km Global Edmonton Mini Birkie is a course for those who want a taste of skiing the Birkie or are like to improve their time on a short distance ski! Skiers in this event vary in age and ability, undoubtedly they all seek to cross the finish line.

This 13 km course is a loop starting from the field east of the Waskahegan Stadium out to Last Chance (Meadow) Shelter and back. The loop offers a nice and something challenging cross-country ski with rolling hills and winding trails beside the beautiful beaver ponds of Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area.
