Polar bears have become an icon of climate change.

As a sea ice obligate species and top-level carnivore, polar bears are at risk due to habitat loss as the Arctic warms. This image-focused talk will outline the cultural and social context of polar bears, their evolution and ecology, and provide insights on how and why they are vulnerable to warming.
